Real Madrid beats Espanyol to stay in title race, 6 points behind Barcelona…….

Real Madrid secured an important three points with a home win against Diego Martinez’s well-drilled Espanyol side. Real Madrid fought back from a goal down to claim a 3-1 victory over Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday, as the hosts returned to winning ways ahead of a potentially season-defining week in which they face Liverpool and Barcelona.

Espanyol took the lead at 8th min mark through Joselu to which Real Madrid equalizes  through Vinicius Jr at the 22nd min mark to register their come back. Then at the 39th min mark Eder Militao brought the hosts to lead in the 1st half itself as they returned to their dressing room with a one goal cushion. In the 2nd half substitute Marco Asensio scored in the injury time of 90+3 to seal the deal for Ancelotti’s men to maintained its slim title chances by moving up to 56 points, 6 points behind the leader Barcelona  who are to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday.
