“Congress is sensationalizing the situation in Manipur”, Nadda’s accusations after Kharge's letter to President…….
In the air of escalating tensions in Manipur,
BJP national president JP Nadda today accused Congress of “Sensationalizing the
Situation" in the state. Nadda wrote his accusations in a letter to
Mallikarjun Kharge after the Congress president had written toPresident
Droupadi Murmu, requesting her to intervene in the deteriorating condition of
the state. Manipur has been witnessing a fresh surge in violence since the
ethnic clashes between the Meitei and Kuki community broke out in May last year.
Last week itself, 16 people were killed in fresh clashes in the burning north eastern
state.
Congress party President Kharge in his letter described how the situation in Manipur has been worsening with each passing day and also highlighted the ‘Silence’ and ‘Inaction’ of the state and Union governments marked by the loss of over 300 lives, 100s of natives being displaced, the negative impact this conflict is posing on the economy and more. As a response to that, JP Nadda accused Kharge and his party of "sensationalising" the violence in the state. In his version of letter, JP Nadda stated that it is the Congress party who is to be blamed for India's failure of security, and the illegal migration of foreign militants to our country.
